First one in March 2013. Any millions for that?
I got this one a few days ago and figured why not have some fun with it! I pretended to play along stating that I have "just received the funds of $34,000.00 through your ATM card and wanted to say thank you for all you've done for me!" Of course I received a quick reply the very next day in which they replied, "Oh, well you still have to pay a processing fee that we forgot to add for your taxes which is $3,000.
I then send an email (which I made up not using my own personal one) to them requiring them to email me all the needed copies so I can send the funds. I also required that they send their passport numbers along with their international drivers licenses for my "bank" verification requirements.
After that I never received a reply, guess they figured that I was on to them all along.
It was a nice dream
i have be get bunch these scam how you get read of these ;;
there bunch scam on facebook i can give you names of those scammer;
oh shiiitttt i got one threw text and the bank called me and i gave them my acct shit someone pls text me and let me know what i can do now 281 508 1612
Contact your bank and local police.
I got one as well and here it is a couple years after the win, come on people do they think we are idiots?
I can't believe people fall for this ??
Yes I received one to. Why don't you scammers go out and get jobs? Obviously, you are literate and have a great command of english and appear to be quite employable. I for one, am big on charity and helping those less fortunate – what I could have done to help less fortunate people with that kind of money. To "ride" on the back of those less fortunate is deplorable. But the beauty of this situation is that one day you will get caught and your comeuppance will be paid to you! The universe will only let you get away with your dishonesty for so long and then it will be your "payday"!
Should have known when I went back and saw some miss spelling.
Awww, darn, I got a text this AM. I should have known better since the Nigerian scammers messed with me before. Years ago I went to cash the checks & the bank called the police & I had to take the police to my house & show them the e-mails on my PC. But just like last time, really could use the $! Oh brother, Dave & Angela Dawes! I should've googled that first thing! The telegraph story was old I mentioned to them in an e-mail, & they just ignored that comment. Dave & Angela were real people that won, & I bet they know about the scammers. The Telegraph should take that story down. Mine was a different bank, which is always legit. It's just the e-mails they set up are different.
Oh great… I got one too…
Couldn't there be just for ONCE an honest person truly doing some good..?
For a second I thought I was actually gonna be able to live in my own home instead of living in family's homes because I can't afford my own home.
Scam artists are truly evil..
They did take down the story in the Telegraph finally, I still wonder why they send out that email.
People need to think clearly when getting these emails, do your research first, hit up google and check it out. It’s always worth your time and money, no one wants to be scammed. No matter how legit it may sound to you always check it out.
IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, CHECK IT OUT…IT’S PROBABLY A SCAM!!
I got an email too, just yesterday, this people didn't feel tired of doing this game so we better be smart, this kind of people should be punished
i got one to here in papua new guinea reffered me to another address he said he is in chicago and coming to papua new guinea to me he reffered me to a Kelly page in the stock brokers
i received one too, hoping it is real cause I could really use the money. However, if it is a scam then God be with them
These criminals prey on innocent people to scam money off them. Sadly, those who are most in need often are so desperate financially that they are tempted into believing such scams can be "real" offers! As the saying goes, if something sounds too good to be true, IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!
Just got one today thanks for the info thought it was fishy like they say to good to be true

They are back at it again… I already replied after doing a little research but the first page I pulled up was someone saying they got the check and had a website to prove they won the lottery, hence, why I replied. Now after reading more into it… I should have known its a scam…

Got this one with web address http://www.monlinepro.co.uk these are good the IP address is even in Dawes name.
The letter is much better than the normal nigerian begging ones, they were getting a bit boreing but the grammar and spelling in this one still leaves a lot to be desired. No english speaking person would speak in such riddles. Anyhow I am still saddened to see that many have fallen for it and that in itself gets my back up otherwise they are quite funny. Please please tell everyone you know especially elderly people that are new to the WWW this recession can make some people desperate.
Infoask2@yahoo.cn is the newest one i got it today
I just got this email on 4-21-13. it was too good to be true so i had to check it out..
I got the same email and it was a bunch of bullshit!

Dear Friend,
Greetings to you,it is nice to hear from you.You see God works in miraculous ways. You may be wondering why you received the email. It is funny right? when i was first contacted via phone that i had won this large amount of money,i doubted it and called it a scam.Until i go to remember that i had previously really entered into a lottery some time ago.I know you would be wondering in your heart and mind if this is for real, but don’t panic it is well.
This is a life time opportunity and 100% legitimate. Angela my wife and I have decided to make sure this is put on the Internet for the world to see. My wife has an ailment and as you could see from the web-page, am not getting any younger and you can imagine having no kids at this age. You see after taken care of the needs of our immediate family members, we decided to donate the remaining of the million(GBP) to other individuals around the world in need, the local fire department, the Red Cross, Haiti, hospitals in Truro where Angela underwent her cancer treatment, and some other organizations in Asia and Europe that fight cancer, Alzheimer’s and diabetes and the bulk of the funds deposited with Halifax, the payout bank of this charity donation scheme. We have kept just 2% of the entire lottery sum to our self for the raining day.
To facilitates the disbursement process of the funds 1,500,000,000.00 Pounds has been solely donated to you, please send us your contact address and a valid identification of your self and phone number, so that we can forward your details over to the payout bank immediately.
We are hoping that you will be able to use the money wisely and judiciously over there in your country. We will employ you to do what you can to alleviate the level of poverty in your region and also try to enhance the standard of living of as many people as you can because that is the only objective of donating this money to you in the first place.
Thank you for accepting our offer, we are indeed grateful.
We anticipate your earliest response
I got one but I know if I win the lottery it will be because I bought the winning ticket. I get alot of scams. I send them to the gov. scam catchers but I don’t know if they ever catch them.
I got this e-mail to-day. I think it is a big scam. Nobody gives a huge amount of pounds to somebody he or she does not know.
got it to.. if this was real, they wouldn't hide behind a text msg, or an e mail. they would have people speak to you in person. or at lest a real phone call. attorneys and legal people would have to be present….. don't be dumb with your money.
I just got one too:
YOUR EMAIL WAS SELECTED FOR A Charity Donatio 500,000.00 FROM Dave & Angela Dawes.TO RECEIVE,SEND YOUR NAME,ADDRESS,EMAIL AND NUMBER To MR DAVID:daveangeladawes4213@outlook.com
i was fooled too, gave them all my bank information, oh my God, but I do declare, no weapon formed against me shall prosper, in the name of Jesus.
hey guys, i'll tell you my variant of story. my parents and me live in Ukraine, but in different cities. one day my dad called me and told about a letter he'd received. However he doesn't speak English he translated the meaning with the help of google translator and asked me what to do. i tried to persuade him that it was just a scam but he still asked me to write smthng to the sender. And i did. Of course, i was not taking it too seriously. "Dave and Angela" asked to send our phone numbers with other info and i've send mine. Today early in the morning my phone rang and the number was hidden. The man who told that he was Dave was talking to me too quickly and externally, i've tried to ask him several questions and actually he didn't answer any. Moreover, the voice and the manner of speech extremely differed from the real Dave's which i've seen on a video. Be attentive
I got this email and so did my wife, I can't believe out of all the people in the world both of us were chosen to be part of the 20. We are so excited to get the money. Oh and I have some future beachfront property in Arizona that I'm looking to sell. Anyone interested let me know.
Am from Uganda and i got those scam emails yesterday. I replied coz i thought dave and angela were real. But it was too good to be true no wonder everything is fake. Dave and Angela..go to hell.
Omg!!! I got this one from Dave and Angela and I have been playing along with it…it worries me cause I send them the info they needed but I gave them an account that has no $$..its unbelievable how there are really bad ppl out there in this world..i really thought it was real..but who are we kiddin right…aint nobody in this world that generous besides Ellen degenerous..
Is nobody concerned that this is quite easy to trace, stop, and resolve. Wether or not that Countrys local government responds or attempts to stop these people is not my main concern. It is the fact that Google, Yahoo, the US Government (in particular the Secret Service or the NSA) who could not only prevent the email from ever making it even exist but they could literally tell the police which door to knock on. And yet they sit back and do nothing. They dont even respond to any contact letting them know whats going on. Why???
